We all come across few questions at various point in our lives. The questions are born from the zeal to excel and succeed at the highest level.

What is it that’s best in me?

How do I search my true potential?

How do I realize the worth of what i can do?

But most of the times we give up at this very point without swelling further into the quest.

Careers in our country are chosen by constraints and not by passion. The society ends up deciding our path and we all end up deciding our needs at that moment. We work upon the ideology of seizing the opportunity which falls in our path!!

We fail to find the inspiration that lies around us in leaps and bounds. Inspiration and examples that show us the worth of following our heart.

Give these points some thought:
What would have happened when Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar decided to concentrate on his studies rather than what he does in Cricket?

What if Steve Jobs had decided against pursuing his vision?

Most of the times we are conditioned to choose the easy path and follow the society. A doctor’s son should become a doctor and an engineer’s son should become an engineer. We as humans look for secure and safe options which are time-tested.

 

This debate between What to be and What Not to be is critical to success of a human being, an organization as well as society. It defines the boundaries in which you want to exist. It defines the rules by which one lives!

 

I have learned from the ‘Three Idiots’ A story of Mr. Chetan Bhagat. (It was loosely adapted from the novel Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat)  and film directed by Rajkumar Hirani and the leading actor of this film is our favourite none other than Mr. Amir Khan. It represents a clarity of mind which people spend ages to discover!

 

This is the area where an HR Professional comes to the forefront. In our country, the Role of HR is nowadays confined to only look on the Brand name from where the Employee belongs and how many years he work there.

 

If your HR generates a belief in you that “Of-course, you can do this” and thereby tapping your true potential and provide you courage to break the notions and explore the unexplored. That will be the Ideal Company of professional in which one certainly love to work.
